Delete Your Account

Option 1: Delete it yourself, in the app

This is the fastest way, and takes effect immediately:

• Web: sign in, go to Profile → Account, scroll to the "Delete Account" section, type DELETE to confirm.
• Mobile app: sign in, go to Profile, scroll to the "Delete Account" section at the bottom, and confirm.

If your account has a password, you'll be asked to enter it as a final confirmation and your account is deleted immediately. If you signed in with Google and never set a password, we'll instead email you a confirmation link — your account is deleted as soon as you click it.

Option 2: Request deletion without opening the app

If you can't or don't want to sign in, email info@mjengox.com from the address associated with your account and ask us to delete it. We'll action the request within 14 days.

Deleting only some of your data

You don't have to delete your whole account to remove specific data. From within any project:

• Open a document, receipt, or payment and choose Delete to remove that individual record and any file attached to it, immediately, on both web and mobile.
• Delete an entire project outright if it has no documents, payments, or receipts recorded against it yet. A project that already has data can be archived instead, freezing it read-only without deleting its history — see our Help Centre for how archiving works.

To request deletion of specific data you can't remove yourself this way, email info@mjengox.com describing what to delete. We'll action the request within 14 days.

What happens to your data

• Your name, email, phone number, and profile information are anonymised immediately, and your account is deactivated.
• Your project and financial records are retained in anonymised form, with no personal identifiers attached, so your accounting history remains intact for continuity, unless you specifically request full deletion of this data too, which we'll action within 14 days.
